My little brother Max is pretty much a genius. So, in the summer of 2014, the two of us (but mostly him) decided to create an app for iOS. We quickly settled on a concept and Max began plugging away in Xcode while learning Objective-C on the fly (this is pre-Swift people!). Meanwhile I busied myself with the less intellectually-taxing tasks of creating that fun icon you see up there and crafting some catchy background music for the game.  Yes, it is a very simple game, but I’m not going to say anything else because you should just download it and find out for yourself. Anyways, the app ultimately came together when the two of us buckled in for a family road-trip across the country and brought our laptops. The proximity forced us (Max) to power through the development, and by the time we got back it was ready to launch.

We released Trisquare in early August to near critical acclaim. It was downloaded over five hundred times within hours of hitting the App Store, and got over thirty five-star reviews (I swear that most of them are not from family members. Well, some of them. I think). Anyways, even to this day, Trisquare receives the occasional download from that lonely iPhone user who’s played it all and finds himself deep within the bowels of the App Store only to stumble across our little gem.

Oh, and here’s another fun fact: right after it was released, I wrote a fake interview with Max and myself and even got it published in the local paper under my buddy’s name. Desperate? Cool? Either way, got some more downloads.

Trisquare might not be the most fun you’ve ever had on your iPhone, but come on, it’s free. Give it a download.
